Best Podcasts for the Charlotte Mason Mom

I have been a Charlotte Mason mom for our entire homeschooling career. These podcasts for Charlotte Mason moms have helped me so much!

While like all moms I make my tweaks, I really can’t say enough good things about the approach. (If you have no idea what I am talking about, start here!).

That said, being a Charlotte Mason mom is not without its challenges. Fortunately we live in an age where our mentors don’t have to be down the street.

The following Charlotte Mason-themed podcasts have helped me in my journey to provide the best possible education to my children.

A Delectable Education

Emily Kiser, Liz Cottrill and Nicole Williams started this podcast several years ago to train teachers and parents in a variety of Charlotte Mason methods and topics. Their archives are a gift to anyone just getting started or veterans looking to enhance their understanding. They also invite expert guests on to delve more deeply into specific topics.

The Mason Jar with Cindy Rollins

Cindy, a veteran homeschool mom of nine, has seen it all. She graciously shares her hard-won wisdom in her weekly podcast The Mason Jar on Circe Institute’s podcast network. Along with guests, she explores common questions and topics for Charlotte Mason and other homeschoolers.

Scholé Sisters

Brandy Vencel of Afterthoughts, Mystie Winckler of Simply Convivial and Pam Barnhill of Homeschool Solutions gather to discuss education related topics often with a nice long list of resources to peruse later. I’ve discovered many things reading their blogs and listening.

Charlotte Mason Poetry

Art Middlekauf’s podcast digs deep into Charlotte Mason’s teachings and practice within PNEU schools. Together with a bevy of guest bloggers, he addresses a variety of topics about the history and richness of this educational philosophy. The podcast is more of an audio blog with both written and audio formats available.
